About the dialog box:
When a sim proposes a pop up dialog box will appear. A small message will pop up letting you know what kind of proposal this is, ask to go steady, wedding proposal, exchange promise rings or a blossom festival proposal. You will then have 2 options, to decline or accept. Currently if you decline, just like vampires offering to turn, it will NOT continue to the declining animation. This is something I would like to get figured out and have occur in the future. However, even if you click accept, it is still possible the sim will decline, this is also something I would like to change.

This was tested with sims who lived in my current household. The dialog box appeared even if a different sim was active. I am unsure if this box will appear on an NPC asking another NPC or a NPC asking an Active. However, I do know that if it does appear with a NPC proposing, you will see the sim who is proposing and their name in the dialog box.

Do to the large changes happening with autonomy and the traits, moods and conversation atmosphere, this may take a few adjustments to get it just right.
I would like you to let me know, since everyone plays differently, how does it seem to work for you? Are they progressing to fast? to slow? Not at all? Do they seem to spontaneous? Are they proposing or breaking up, divorcing based on their moods, or conversation? Are the traits effecting how often or hard it is for proposals/breakups? Your feedback will help make this mod better!

I went through and chose certain traits to either increase or decrease the odds of proposals or breakups. Certain traits do NOT gaurantee a proposal or breakup, just helps with the odds.
If there is a trait that you want that is not on the lists below, leave a comment with the trait in question along with an explaination on why you think it should be added. If I agree with your explaination then there is a possibility it will be added but no gaurantees.

Changes with this mod that will effect how your sims act when it comes to proposals and breakups:

Proposals: The more romantic your sims conversation gets, the higher the odds of either sim proposing to the other. An inspired sim may proposal from feeling inspired in their life but it is more likely a flirty sim will propose. If their conversation isn’t going very well they probably won’t propose. you will need to get them flirty. The higher it gets the greater the odds. Example: an amorous conversation is less likely to propose than a suggestive conversation. Steamy conversations have a greater change to propose.

Breakups: In order from a sim to ask to be friends, break up or divorce the romantic relationship needs to be Romantic Interest or lower before the traits, moods or conversation setting will possibly autonomously occur. If you your relationship is Romantic interest you will have two options: Break Up or Ask to be friends. If your relationship drops below that, only Break up will be the option. Breakups including just asking to be friends may happen depending on the sims mood. If they are angry and just down right ticked off, maybe your sim should try to calm them down and help them recover from what is going on in their life because if you don’t, they could be so angry at life all together that they don’t even want to be in a relationship with your sim! If your relationship puts the other sim into a bored mood or uncomfortable mood they may break it off with you. Don’t worry, if they are happy or flirty or just in a good mood your should be fine. Other things that will effect the breakup will be your conversation atmosphere. What I mean by that is, if your conversation because awkward they may break up with you. An offensive conversation is more likely to breakup with you than a distastefull. If your conversation is going good than you shouldn’t have anything to worry about.

This is strongly based on the relationship panel in the game. If it doesn’t say romantic interest or lower or still says love birds even if they are in the romantic red this option may not work properly. I’m still working on getting this more reliable. The relationship panel not updating properly isn’t because of this mod but is in the game itself. I apologize for any inconvenience.

Traits: different traits effect whether or not a sim is likely to propose. Since traits in this game make romantic and flirty sims flirty easier or just from lack of romance they are more likely to propose and less likely to break up, that is unless you really tick off one of these romantic sims. Sims who are hotheaded or mean tend to be in a bad mood anyway and may use mean interactions that change their mood or conversation and may break up with you and are less likely to propose.

Doing your best to keep moods and conversations along with their romantic relationship level where you want them should resault in one of the interactions.

So what does this mod do?
Now your sim no longer needs to ask for another sim to be boyfriend/girlfriend if you don’t want them to!
No more weird proposal<–They will now whisper romantically into the other sims ear. Be careful! They can still reject!
No more giddy!<–Now they will instead do something a little more romantic!
The guy will Kiss the girls hands and the girl will Kiss the guys cheek! awww so sweet!
~I chose romantic interactions that weren’t quite so intimate since at this stage your sim is just getting to know the other and just getting started on their relationship!~

Now your sim does not have to do the proposing if you don’t want them to!
No more giddy! <–If they aren’t doing that then what are they doing, you ask? Well instead they will do a few different things depending on the proposal and of course if it succeeds. Here are the possible possibilities!

Still 2 animations when the girl proposes will look a little weird, still working on that one. However, if the guy proposes, all animations should be fixed.

No longer have job restrictions on any proposals.

Romantic Interest and lower relationships now show the ask to be friends, break up, or divorce interaction in the pie menu. It will not be there if their romantic levels aren’t low enough. It needs to be either no romantic bar or lower before the option is available. Once it is available then the possibility of it happening autonomous will take place. Romantic Interest will have the option to either Break Up or Ask to be Friends. If your relationship is lower than a Romantic Interest then you will only have the option of Break Up.

Common Questions:
Why is it when the girl proposes, their arms do weird stuff to themselves?
Those are fixed now, if your sims are doing this maybe you need to update to the newest version.

I want my sims to break up but the option isn’t in the pie menu. What happened to it?
Any Ask to be Friends, Break ups, or Divorces now require Romantic Interest or Lower

I don’t want my sims to have a bad friendship when they break up.
Don’t worry, you don’t need a bad friendship to break up. They can still be best friends. Just need the romantic levels to go in the red.

“My sims are in a steamy conversation. Why hasn’t the other proposed!”
Lots of factors now determine if a sim proposes. Check above under WIP on how this mod works.

“Its been a long time why have they still not proposed?”
Even though the interactions have a greater chance of the proposal doesn’t mean it will happen. Check the sims mood, the conversation, and traits, these contribute to the sim proposing.

What does the Autonomous Breakups! Offer?
Now any sim could autonomously break up, divorce or ask to just be friends.

Will my active sim autonomously breakup?
Yes

Do my sims have to be in a bad relationship?
Not exactly. Romantic Interest or lower could cause a break up or Ask to be friends. However, a bad mood, conversation or traits will increase the chances of this happening.

Will NPC’s autonomously break up?
Yes

Why does my sim seem to be crying more after the breakup?
I added more crying interactions to the files. So don’t be surprised if they shove their faces into their hands and cry more. Or the target sim actually cries and wipes the tears off of their face

NEW! No Polygamy
MUST have updated version~04/01/18 proposal mod for this to work.
With this added, your sims will NOT be able to propose if another sim or the sim proposing is already married or engaged or promised.

Break Ups
This is now separate from any of the proposal flavors. If you choose to have proposals and break ups, all you have to do is choose what proposal flavor below that you want and add in the Break Up Add-On.

What this Add -On does is allows any sim to break up with any sim. That includes an NPC breaking up with an active sim autonomously. This is, however, restricted. Meaning, sims can’t just break up just to break up. They need to have a really low or bad romance level before the break up option appears. I plan on adding in the future that will allow a sim who has discovered their significant other cheating to be able to break up regardless of the romance levels.

This does use several factors on determining if a sim breaks up or not. These include, their relationship, their mood, traits, and the current conversation they are having with that sim.

Will not conflict with any of my other mods.
Any other mod that modifies the same XML code will conflict!
